The cats sat on my keyboard

Having failed miserably to maintain any kind of consistent blog output, I'm going to try out the new toys route. I've just installed Scribefire, which is an add-on for Firefox. Looking quite easy so far, just click on the button and the lower half of the browser window becomes a blog posting panel. Hmm, no success in linking to my blog account... back to posting from blogger.

I'm also going to try out Zemanta, which bills itself as a tool for pooling photos, url

s (automatic links even!), highlighting what's happening in twitter, recommending tags, and other stuff.

Zemanta has launched in blogger! It is indeed suggesting tags, and finding (relevant!) photos. Such as this logo

No more excuses...

I use Zemanta daily at and think it is awesome. Never heard of Scribe Fire so I am off to play with it. There was another tool that is used by Thenextweb to patch articles together, just can't remember what it was called.

It took me a little while to work out how to link to my blog from the right-hand panel open the 'Blogs' tab and at the bottom click the 'Add' button and copy and paste your blog address. Follow the instructions from that point, I did find it fairly easy from then on.

This should help without, I hope, being too pedantic.

By the way, I have similar issues with my cat ☺

Thanks, Ainsley and Jamie. I think the publish issue is because we host our (blogger) blog on our ISP's server. As scribefire has just teamed up with zemanta, I'll need to get it sorted!
